One approach, four disciplines

Astroborbit does not offer every type of photography under the sun — we focus on four disciplines where candid, documentary instincts produce the strongest results: weddings, portrait sessions, commercial briefs, and live events. Every service below uses the same core methodology: arrive early, observe before shooting, and prioritize the frame that happens over the frame that was planned. Post-production is handled in-house, with every image graded to our indigo-tech signature — cool and clear, never over-filtered. Turnaround is 14 days standard; rush delivery is available on request for commercial clients.

Our services

Wedding Photography

Full-day wedding coverage from getting-ready through to the first dances. We work in pairs on larger weddings, solo on intimate ceremonies under 40 guests. You receive a minimum of 400 edited images, a private gallery, and print-release files. We cover venues across Québec City, the Laurentians, Charlevoix, and Eastern Townships. Destination bookings outside Québec are accepted subject to travel availability.

Portrait Sessions

Personal branding, executive headshots, family portraits, and creative individual shoots. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes at a location of your choice — we have a shortlist of Québec City spots that photograph well in every season. You leave with 20–40 fully edited images in our indigo-tech colour grade, ready for LinkedIn, your website, or print.

Commercial Photography

Product campaigns, brand editorial, and corporate event coverage. We work directly from your brief and can collaborate with your creative director or art department. Deliverables are agreed up front: we don't start shooting until we both know what a successful day looks like. Licensing terms are negotiated per project; usage rights are always made clear in the contract.

Event Photography

Conferences, galas, festivals, and private celebrations. Documentary-style coverage that reads as editorial rather than photojournalism — we move fast, stay unobtrusive, and hand you a gallery that works for press, social, and internal use. Half-day and full-day rates available; multi-event retainers for recurring clients.

Questions before you book

Straight answers to the things people usually ask us.

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings, 6–12 months ahead is ideal — Saturday dates in June, July, September, and October fill earliest. Portrait and commercial sessions can usually be arranged within 2–4 weeks, though peak autumn colour season in Québec books out faster than you'd expect.

Do you travel outside Québec City?

Yes, regularly. We've shot in Montréal, Charlevoix, the Eastern Townships, and across Ontario. For destinations outside Québec province, travel and accommodation costs are added to the quote transparently — no surprise invoices after the fact.

What's included in the editing?

All delivered images are colour-graded and exposure-corrected in our indigo-tech style. Basic skin retouching is included for portrait and wedding work. We don't do heavy composite editing or object removal as a standard service — if you need that, we'll flag it during the brief review and quote separately.

Can I request specific shots?

Absolutely — a shot list helps us plan, especially for weddings and events. Send it at least a week before the shoot. That said, our candid approach means we'll always be looking beyond the list, so don't treat it as a ceiling.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We shoot in all conditions. Rain, overcast skies, and low light are not cancellation triggers — they're creative variables. We always scout a backup indoor option before outdoor shoots, and we'll communicate the plan the evening before.

“We brought Astroborbit in for our annual conference in Québec City — around 300 attendees, three concurrent streams. They were everywhere and in nobody's way. The gallery landed in our inbox 11 days later. We've already re-booked for next year.”
